Samāpatti Yoga

Meet Me on the Mat | Samāpatti Yoga is honored to return to Montpelier Plantation! Leading with your internal compass, join Patti Coan’s delightful spirit to open and expand and to uncover and discover your uniqueness. Increase awareness, boost energy, improve health and build community in our home away from home.

Just Breathe | Samāpatti” is a state of equilibrium rooted in the science and philosophy of Raja Yoga, the royal path. Following the Himalayan tradition, the practice explores the union of mind and body through breath. Eight separate limbs are incorporated into the practice including ways of living, postures, breathing, relaxation, concentration and meditation.

The Evolution | Patti’s yoga practice was born mat-to-mat in a small studio in Madison, WI. Years later, while reading Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Sanskrit term “Samāpatti” appeared. The yoga path had been chosen for her. Samāpatti Yoga offers a mobile yoga studio, regional workshops and retreats, nation-wide breath and mindfulness practices and international guest yoga teaching.

The Journey | Patti has a career background in learning and performance. She earned Raja Yoga Certification from the Himalayan Institute, PA, an International Coaching Federation Credential via the NeuroLeadership Institute, NY, and Education undergraduate and Educational Psychology master’s degrees from UW-Madison, WI.
