During Montpelier Plantation & Beach’s seasonal closure from August to October, we were proud to open our doors to the local swimming association, providing them with access to our pool for training. As they prepare for the OECS Championships, which will take place in St. Vincent from November 8th to 10th, 2024, it has been a joy to watch these young athletes train every Saturday morning.
Guided by certified local coaches James Weekes and Nedd Lestrade, along with regional coach Dave Farmer from Barbados, the swimmers have worked hard to perfect their skills. Their final training session at Montpelier took place this past Saturday, marking the conclusion of a productive and exciting preparation period at our resort.
At Montpelier, we are deeply committed to supporting our local youth and their athletic ambitions. We wish the team the best of luck in the upcoming championships and look forward to cheering them on!
